More than 60 players take next step in developmental journeys, attend id2 Training Camp in Virginia<\/h2>\n

RICHMOND, Virginia (May 2, 2022)<\/strong> \u2013 The final id2 Training Camp of the age group cycle targeting 2008 boys and 2007 girls was held April 29-May 1 in Richmond, Va. The camp featured 64 players from 39 clubs throughout the East and Central regions. Athletes participated in daily field and classroom sessions, led by a collection of the country\u2019s best youth coaches.<\/p>\n

US Club Soccer\u2019s id2 Program is a leader in player identification and development throughout the country, as it provides opportunities for elite athletes to be identified, developed and scouted for inclusion in U.S. Soccer\u2019s youth national team programming. The id2 Program is an Olympic Development Program approved by the United States Olympic Committee and the U.S. Soccer Federation.<\/p>\n

There is no cost for players to participate or be scouted, and all meals, lodging and gear are provided by US Club Soccer and Nike. This approach to eliminating barriers to entry helps ensure the best players are able to participate.<\/p>\n
