Applications go live for this summer\u2019s National Cup XXII Regionals<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Jan. 18, 2023)<\/span><\/b> \u2013 Applications for US Club Soccer\u2019s four National Cup XXII Regionals taking place in June are now available for a limited time. The <\/span>National Cup<\/span><\/a> is US Club Soccer\u2019s longest running competition that unites regions of the country through a cup-based championship series. Four National Cup XXII Regionals take place over a few weeks in June, and the prestigious National Cup XXII Finals will be hosted July 15-22 in Denver, Colorado.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

State cups, hosted by member leagues and partners around the country, also play into the annual National Cup format, as they offer qualifying pathways to Regionals and Finals. Those state championship competitions take place in the fall and\/or spring, depending on local scheduling accommodations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The National Cup Finals will again follow an extended tournament schedule after a successful deployment this past summer. The boys competition is July 15-19, and the girls play July 18-22. This format benefits teams by not playing during the hottest temperatures of the day and also ensures less wear and tear on the fields.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

DICK\u2019S Sporting Goods Park has hosted US Club Soccer members competing for championships \u2013 including the National Cup Finals and NPL Finals \u2013 since 2019. The complex features 25 fields, including two turf. It serves as the home of Major League Soccer\u2019s Colorado Rapids.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Teams are encouraged to register quickly to take advantage of incentivized pricing and to ensure they secure their spot, as teams are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Regionals\u00a0<\/span>are open to U-13 through U-18\/19 boys and girls age groups. The competition series features Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group divisions. Champions from regionals and qualifying state cups advance to the National Cup XXII Finals.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Because many state cup competitions are held prior to Regionals, state cup participating teams may also decide to compete in the Regional closest to them for a second chance at qualifying to the National Cup Finals, should they not earn direct advancement through their respective state cup. US Club Soccer consolidated its total number of Regionals in 2023 to more effectively support the growth of its state cups.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
