That includes, but is not limited to, US Club Soccer&#8217;s Participant Safety\/Risk Management policies.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Tournament Directors much be registered with US Club Soccer. (To be registered, one must have all eligibility requirements fulfilled and current.) Similarly, Direct Adult Participants (DAPS) with regular contact with or authority over Minor Athletes must be registered with US Club Soccer.<\/p><\/li><li><p>The approval of applications is based in part on the host club being a member in good standing at the time of the tournament.\u00a0<\/p><\/li><li>The application must be submitted by a person who has &#8220;org admin&#8221; administrative rights within the club&#8217;s GotSport account.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NEW<\/span>: A <a href=\"https:\/\/system.gotsport.com\/forms\/79G190678\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024-25 US Club Soccer Organization Member Certification Form<\/a> must be submitted and on file for your club\/organization before 2024-25 tournament sanctioning applications will be approved.\u00a0<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><div class=\"text clearfix\"><p>US Club Soccer will send an approval or denial email once the application is processed.<\/p><\/div><\/li><\/ol><div class=\"text clearfix\"><p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sanctioning Fee<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>$100<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Application<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/system.gotsport.com\/forms\/9Z2350269\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Application for US Club Soccer Tournament Sanctioning<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><p>If you wish to apply for tournament sanctioning within 60 days of the tournament start date, please contact your <a href=\"https:\/\/usclubsoccer.org\/staff-directory\/\">General Manager<\/a> before submitting your application to obtain permission.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pageEl_431019629\" class=\"pageEl\"><div class=\"pageElement documentElement\"><p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Contact<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p><p>US Club Soccer tournament sanctioning is managed by US Club Soccer&#8217;s member administration team. Please email <a href=\"mailto:tournament@usclubsoccer.org\">TournamentSanctioning@usclubsoccer.org<\/a> with any questions.\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-6019cca elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"6019cca\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-a3ba1a9\" data-id=\"a3ba1a9\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2a3d09b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2a3d09b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<hr \/><h3>CERTIFIED ATHLETIC TRAINERS AT SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS:<\/h3><div class=\"text clearfix\"><p>Pursuant to the U.S. Soccer player safety campaign, any tournament projected to have 64 or more teams at U-11 and older age groups must have an adequate number of certified athletic trainers or other healthcare professionals in attendance. They must be accessible to coaches, referees and athletes as needed during play. A major tournament means all of these:<\/p><ul><li>a tournament played over multiple days;<\/li><li>where age-group-based champions will be determined;<\/li><li>in which 64 or more teams (excluding teams U-10 and younger) are entered.<\/li><\/ul><p>The individual should be a licensed healthcare professional (HCP), such as an athletic trainer certified (ATC) or a physician (MD\/DO), with a skill set in emergency care and sports medicine injuries, and with knowledge and experience related to concussion evaluation and management.<\/p><p>Each \u201cmajor youth tournament\u201d hosting entity should collaborate and communicate with an HCP, if available, on an overall emergency action plan and discuss the management of environmental injuries, injury prevention, head injury management and return-to-play matters.<\/p><p>A certified athletic trainer means a person who has credentials from the Board of Certification and\/or has the appropriate license from their state.<\/p><p>The trainer or other healthcare professional must be able to conduct SCAT3 and modified BESS concussion tests on the sideline.<\/p><p>Determining the \u201cadequate number of trainers\u201d depends in part on the total number of teams, field layout, etc. For example, a ratio of one trainer to four or six fields may be adequate. (Teams using US Club Soccer passcards already have coverage.) This simplifies attendance for teams, especially if a number of non-US Club Soccer teams are not able to obtain insurance from their state association or other U.S. Soccer Organization Member.
