Q: Why did Kernow Storm FC\u00a0first apply for Players First licensing?<\/strong><\/p>

Antony Penna, Director of Soccer Operations & Director of Coaching:\u00a0<\/strong>We felt that\u00a0Players First is an industry leading and prestigious license\u00a0that helps\u00a0current and future parents\u00a0know our club’s emphasis is not only developing players but also educating parents, supporting coaches through continued coaching education and creating a positive environment for our families and players to reach their maximum potential. US Club Soccer is the leader in setting the standard for clubs, and we wanted to show our community that we\u00a0can also set the standard through this license\u00a0that holds us accountable to the Players First standards.<\/p>

Q: What does it mean for Kernow Storm FC\u00a0to now be an official Players First-licensed club?<\/strong><\/p>

Penna:\u00a0<\/strong>It’s very important to us and a testament to all the hard work our staff, volunteers and members put in to continue raising our standards. The Players First recognition aligns us with like-minded clubs across the nation and validates our commitment and dedication to our\u00a0culture and core values. By becoming a Players First-licensed club, we will continue to raise the standards for our coaches and staff to provide our players, families and community with a first-class soccer club that provides the best all-around experience.<\/p>

Q: What makes Players First licensing different from other initiatives or programs your club has participated in?<\/strong><\/p>

Penna:\u00a0<\/strong>Players First is the most in-depth assessment of club processes. Most recognition comes from game performance, but this recognition demonstrates the hard work and dedication behind the scenes that leaves a larger impact on our mission and core values.<\/p>

Q: What would you like the parents of Kernow Storm FC\u00a0to know about what this means to them?<\/strong><\/p>

Penna:\u00a0<\/strong>The Players First license demonstrates the club’s commitment to going above and beyond to do\u00a0the right things to help our players reach their true potential when engaging in our programs, which have sustainable long-term methods.
