The National Premier Leagues is proud to welcome its newest member league, the Pennsylvania Regional Club League, with clubs spanning eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey. The league will offer two levels of play for 9-U through 19-U boys and girls teams with top divisions of 13-U and older age groups participating in the NPL pathway.<\/p>

The Pennsylvania Regional Club League was created to form a regional environment focused on player development. A list of the founding clubs will be announced soon.<\/p>

The youngest age groups \u2013 9-U through 14-U \u2013 will play a 16-game season split between the fall and the spring, while the older NPL divisions play 12 games from November to May. Calendars are designed to include off weekends for tournament and showcase play.<\/p>

APL Tournaments, a tournament provider in the Mid-Atlantic, is administering the league. \u201cWe are excited to offer a new league through US Club Soccer with a platform to a regional and national championships,\u201d said Alex Kulp, APL\u2019s Senior Tournament Director. \u201cAPL will now be able to provide clubs in our market a full set of offerings including tournaments, leagues and showcase events.\u201d<\/p>

As an NPL member league, the Pennsylvania Regional Club League enjoys a pathway to NPL postseason opportunities for both its boys and girls clubs. At the end of the 2020-21 regular season, top performing teams will advance to the 2021 NPL postseason to compete for ENPL national championships on the boys side and the NPL Finals on the girls side.<\/p>

And as US Club Soccer members, the new league benefits from a plethora of resources and support. US Club Soccer\u2019s\u00a0mission<\/a>\u00a0is to foster the growth and development of soccer clubs throughout the country to create the best possible development environment for players of all ages in every club. The primary vehicle for accomplishing that ambition is\u00a0Players First<\/a>: a branded, holistic club soccer experience for parents and players which emphasizes the development of each individual to his or her full potential, and helps parents make better choices about where their children should play.<\/p>

That Players First philosophy is supported by best-in-class partners and resources, including LaLiga, and is anchored by five pillars: Club Development, Coaching Development, Player Development, Parent Engagement & Education and Player Health & Safety. In particular, Player Health & Safety is the emphasis, as US Club Soccer prides itself on fostering the\u00a0safest environment for players in youth sports<\/a>. US Club Soccer has stringent requirements for all\u00a0staff registration\/eligibility<\/a>\u00a0and also provides a variety of safety-related resources and recommendations to members.<\/p>
